For $10 (including tip) I got enough food for two lunches, and it tastes pretty good. It's not a typical American Chinese restaurant, but there are some familiar dishes. I got the Mongolian beef. The strips of beef are very tender!

Awesome thing about this place is you order first and they will bring the food to your table. That means a tip is not really expected. Comes with soup of the day and a cup of tea. Highly recommended if you are looking for a cheap filling meal. The dry fried chicken over rice is something worth trying if your not looking for something super traditional and typical .

Hard to find, but well worth it if you're into non-fancy but very good chinese food. It's upstairs (or elevator) in the middle of a mid-century office/services building. The food is very tasty, a notch or two above what I expected from a kinda hole-in-the-wall. There's a sunny dining room that overlooks the freeway/Division St. with a kinda epic view of downtown, in a pleasant JG Ballard kind of way. The service is friendly and there's a condiment bar. The thing about this place is that they clearly take the food side of things seriously, and it's a great value, cheap and big portions. We got mongolian beef (very good), dry string string beans (very good), and I think a noodle dish that was also good.
